Pre-order the Control4 & Loxone Plugins Now
Rithum are now taking pre-orders for Control4 & Loxone integrations. More on why we are doing this below, but suffice to say we need your votes by way of pre-orders and input on features. Read on for more on what each integration might look like.
Control4 Plugin For Rithum
The Rithum Control4 plugin would integrate Rithum Switch or Rithum Switch Pro with a Control4 system natively.
It might support things such as the ability to configure scenes within Control4, for recall in Rithum; Levels setting of lighting zones; audio integration beyond our existing audio integrations; climate integration to control Rithum Stat from Control4 and/or to control thermostats in Control4 from Rithum.

Loxone Plugin For Rithum
The Rithum Loxone plugin would integrate Rithum Switch or Rithum Switch Pro with a Loxone system natively.
It might support things such as the ability to pull available scenes from Loxone so they can be configured and then later recalled from Rithum; Levels setting of lighting zones already configured in Loxone; climate integration to control Loxone thermostat zones from Rithum and even feed in our temperature sensor data.
Loxone is not a system we have been involved with much, so we are really looking to be guided by what the market is looking for. If you want this integration then give it your cash vote on the link below.
Why are we doing this?
Since we launched Rithum Switch and recently Rithum Switch Pro, we have had more integration requests than we know what to do with. Whilst this is great, it makes our job of prioritising very difficult and we always feel we are guessing to a certain extent as to what is going to be well received by the market.
We have also previously developed some integrations based on requests that have subsequently not done as well as the requests have had us believe.
In recent months, though, two native integrations have been requested the most by installers. Those are Control4 and Loxone.
Whilst we most definitely see the benefit in adding these integrations and certainly will at some point, in order to distract us from our near-term roadmap and give us the confidence to focus on one or both of these, we have decided to open up a pre-order campaign.
This pre-order campaign will allow installers to pre-order the plugins in the multiples they wish, to lend weight to that integration. If either or both the pre-orders hit the internal thresholds we have set, then we will get cracking and deliver them for you.
In addition, by pre-ordering, you’ll get a say in the features we develop and how they are implemented.
Whilst we appreciate that it would be great for us to just do them, we hope you understand that as a small, agile team, we must be market-led, and unfortunately that requires a cold hard cash commitment rather than all-to-easily-given requests.

FAQ
Here are some questions that might cover a few things you're thinking. We'll update this section as more questions inevitably come in.
What’s the deal?
Pre-order the plugin for a discounted price of £39.99 / €49.99 per licence for the integration(s) you are interested in. Note that all of our plugins are purchased on a "per switch" basis, not per project basis.
How many of each plugin you pre-order is up to you and you are encouraged to order multiple of the plugin. The higher the cash pre-order amount for each plugin we get, the higher the chance we will hit the threshold for us to do it and the more weight your specific requests will have with us.
There is also an extra 20% discount on multiples of x10 which you can see on the pre-order button/link.
What’s the deadline?
23:59 on 31st August 2024
What are the thresholds for developing the integration(s)?
We have set three internal threshold tiers for each integration:
- Starter - we will implement the foundations to start with maybe one or two screens, e.g. Scenes & Levels
- Intermediate - we will implement more advanced features that cover maybe two to three screens
- Advanced - we will implement as much as possible to release a fully featured integration
In each case we can then obviously enhance the integration later, these would just be the starting point.
Why are you not publishing the thresholds?
We don’t feel this is necessary and is distracting from the wider goal which is to get support behind the new integration(s) and enable them to happen. Ultimately we are looking to cover any external costs and feel confident that our time invested will result in more customers embracing Rithum. This isn’t a money spinner for us, just an enabler.
What will happen if you don’t reach the thresholds by the deadline?
If we don’t reach the Starter threshold for either plugin by the deadline, we will refund all pre-orders for that plugin.
When will the integrations be completed?
If either integration pre-order reaches its internal threshold, it will be delivered in September/October, although we will be pushing for it ASAP. If they both do then the second place integration will follow after the first.
How do I provide you with my specific request for the integration?
We will reach out to everyone that has pre-ordered if/when we meet a threshold so that you can have a voice.
Will there also be a charge for the driver on the Control4 side?
We don't anticipate there being a charge for the Control4-side driver, it would be provided free alongside the plugin, unless there are unforeseeable costs or maintenance that may surface later.
What about other integrations?
We encourage you to vote for any other integrations (as usual) on our forum. If any get substantial votes, we’ll consider adding preorder. Let us know about any bigger opportunities that might be relevant. You can vote on other integrations here..
